This pic was a real challenge... I did it in pencil. It was an experiment in drawing pics like this inverted, because when I use black paper and draw on it with white pencil and scan it in, my scanner always murders it brutally... that, and it isn't easy drawing when you can't actually see the finished result as such. You have to do a lot of guesswork.

It was FUN... ^_^

I should do pics like this more often. :D

Photoshop 6 used for removing the stray specks my scanner added, levelling, and inverting it.

Nice job I love the lighting here. Too bad your scanner screwes up your regular black page work. Good innovation to get the same effect here.

I was considering adding a little bit of a touch of color, but... I realized... I wasn't ready for it yet. This is the first pic I've ever done inverted like this. Maybe when I get some more practice at it, I'll attempt to do color as well. :)

....hmm... inverted color... yup, sounds like fun. :nod:

yeah... I was trying to figure this one out for a long while. how to get the effect, I mean...

now if I could only get it to stop screwing up my regular black page stuff, I'd actually post some of it.

Frugging piece of junk scanner...

I'm finding I like adding light more than I do adding shadow anyway... so yeah.. *thwaps scanner* Bad old tech thing. no cookie.

Wow, neat trick. You should definitely try this technique again - look at the fantastic result! Subtle and effective - a really hard combination to come by. Well done!
